ASSIGNMENTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF CREDITORS
An alternative to bankruptcy where an insolvent company transfers its assets to a third party (the assignee), who then sells the assets and distributes the proceeds to the company's creditors. This process is usually quicker and less formal than bankruptcy and can be a more flexible and cost-effective way to liquidate the assets of a troubled business.

Foldimate, Inc.
Foldimate had developed a robotic laundry folding device that is slightly larger than a standard washing machine. According to the developers, it can fold a full wash in less than four minutes. The user clips the piece of clothing on two hooks and the item is pulled into the machine. Then a series of rollers and arms moves in all directions to straighten and fold it. A prototype of the device had been developed which was in the testing stage.
The Assignee marketed and sold the assets including trademarks and patents, domain name, URL, website for Foldimate, the prototype device, and marketing materials to a large home and appliance company.
The allowed priority deposit claim creditors were paid in full while the first and final distribution to general unsecured creditors was 46.98%.

Soil Stabilization provided innovative and sustainable product technologies covering a broad range of applications, starting with the Natural PAVE XL Resin Pavement products which provide aesthetic and environmentally friendly alternatives to hot mix asphalt materials.

The Giving Assistant platform helped online shoppers find coupons for retail purchases. Giving Assistant offered users two incentives. First, customers would receive a portion of Giving Assistant's sales commission as a "cash back" deposit into the users' accounts. Second, consistent with its PBC status, users could donate the "cash back" deposit to one of the millions of nonprofit organizations listed on the Giving Assistant platform. Giving Assistant's stated mission was "to make giving back as much a part of shopping as saving money is."
